Southern Studies Showcase – Sept 20 and 21

The Old Edgefield District Genealogical Society is hosting the seventh annual “Southern Studies Showcase” in Edgefield on September 20 and 21, 2019. Fourteen workshop classes will be held over the course of the two days, with local and out-of-town speakers giving lectures on a variety of topics. Time will be allotted on Friday and Saturday for lunch at local restaurants, shopping with local merchants, and visiting of local historic and tourist sites.

Ridge Foundation Healthcare Board Fundraiser – Sept 21

The Ridge Foundation Healthcare Board is providing 3 $1,000 scholarships for students going into the healthcare field. Please consider organizing a team and coming out to support. If you are not able to do a team, please consider a personal donation. Literally every $1 helps, so please please consider a donation not matter how small. With your donation it will help our hospital stay current and hopefully grow!

Community Wide Health Fair – Oct 11

The Edgefield County Senior Citizens Council along with Self Regional Health Care, Hospice Care of South Carolina and the Edgefield County Chamber Commerce are sponsoring a community wide health fair at Edgefield First Baptist Church. Self-Regional’s mobile mammography unit will be there as well as the wellness van. We are inviting all health care providers, pharmacies, estate planning attorneys, senior living facilities, and related providers to reserve a booth. This is a great way to market your company to a specific target audience in the community you serve.
